AXA BASTA Online Key Service

Two cycle keys are always supplied when a new cycle or cycle lock is purchased. Convenient if you should ever lose a key. When a key is lost it is advisable to directly order another key.

Here are a number of practical tips that you should take into account:

Tip 1: After purchase always make a note of your key number! You can then always order a new key if you lose them both. It is not possible to order a new key without the key number! Unfortunately without a key number we cannot help you

Tip 2: You will find the key number on the (spare) key, the guarantee card, the steel disc fixed to the key or on your cycle insurance policy. The number consists of numbers and/or letters.

Tip 3: If your cycle is insured against theft you are obliged to inform your insurance company directly that you have ordered a spare key. If your cycle is stolen you must in fact be able to provide the insurance company with two original cycle keys. The reserve key you receive from us is marked with the C (Copy). You must inform the insurance company of this yourself. (Note: These regulations can vary per country, please check your insurance policy!)

It is possible to order your key via a key order form for as long as they are in stock at the cycle dealer. You can acquire this key order form from your cycle dealer and then post it to us

Which types of locks have a key service?

AXA Basta Online Key Service is extended to the largest part of the AXA Basta lock range. Click this link for the overview. The locks are available in various colours and/or versions and carry the brand name of AXA or Basta. It is possible that your version is not pictured, but the same type is. In that case you choose your type of lock.

AXA Basta Online Key Service method of work

5 steps are needed to order a new key(s):

Step 1: enter your key number.

Step 2: choose the required type of key (it is possible to choose from various types of keys for some locks)

Step 3: fill in your name and address.

Step 4: control field with the details you have filled in.

Step 5: choose your method of payment (single standing order, credit card or by iDEAL internet banking via your own bank, The payment options can differ per country)

When you have finished ordering you will receive an order confirmation containing your unique order number automatically by email (if you have entered your email address) and/or you can print it out. We advise you to keep your unique order number safely as a reference. The order confirmation by e-mail or print out can also be required by your insurance company.

The prices stated are inclusive VAT, but do not include handlingcosts (handling, processing and postage costs). These costs depend on the number of keys you order (max. 2) and the country of destination.
